Sunday at the Beach

We made a sand chair for Coco

 then she chilled on the blanket

Kate was chill-axin too

 then played hopscotch

Dad and Chloe took naps

 Madison built a stand for her surf board

played more hopscotch
and fed the gulls
(I never let them do this
so they thought it was so much fun)

giggles and squeels

 Fast rides (that is Maddy and Kate whizzing by)
more tears from Katelyn (she didn't love the rides)

 We raced down the slide

Maddy won-she was laying down
good technique
Kate said "I was a little bit scared"
she didn't slide again

 Eric and Madison rode all the fast turn-y rides
I cannot stomach them

 Madison was tall enough to drive the bumper cars
she was very polite too
when she was about to hit someone
she left off the gas
then she would give a little wave and say "sorry...gotta go"
I was cracking up laughing

 Kate tried to ride the whales
but it didn't last long
she was crying to get off

Madison loved it!

....Hopefully Kate will come around
but probably not
she hated to swing as a baby
so it made perfect sense to me
that she didn't like the rides that make your tummy feel funny.....

What a fun Saturday night!

Spring Soccer 2011

Soccer began
the girls were so cute in the uniforms
Madison number 6
on the Orange Crush
(I know----I am not thrilled with the color orange either)

 Katelyn number 2
on the Pelicans

Adalee spent the night with us on Friday
and game to be their cheerleader
poms poms and all

and Chloe cheered too
(she is losing her hair---look how whispy it looks in the wind
and it is very light coming back in
no more dark brown)

Madison scored 2 goals
and was definitely the BIG kid on the team
she was super aggressive
got right in the middle of the huddles
and kicked the ball to the right goal
what a difference 18 months makes?

then it was Kate's turn to play.....

 She was doing great

all smiles

running all over until.....

 she fell down

 and that was the end of that!!!!

Eric went out with her
thinking maybe she would come around

but she never really did
just ran and cried the entire time

She was a mess-
but Eric noticed that the parents
were really loud
so maybe next time she will know
what to expect
and be ready

She was happy it was over----and so was I!
