Today is a gorgeous day. The sun is shining with a slight breeze. We were up early and hit the car wash. On Tuesday afternoon, San Antonio had mud rain! Yes it was rainy mud...so gross. The car washes were 1 hour wait on Wednesday and about 30 minutes today. Good thing we bought an unlimited car wash pass for both trucks. Then we hit Sam's Club for diapers and fruit. 200 Huggies diapers for only $35! What a deal! ;-) At least that is what I tell myself.
On Wednesday we had a play date at Big Top Kidz. It is an indoor playroom that has a big jumpy castle, play house, kitchen, slide, and crazy coupes galore! Afterward, we hit Jason's Deli--YUM-O!
We are heading to Gwen and Rob's house for dinner tonight..pork chops...my favorite! Eric is flying today but will land around 2 pm--the girls are napping (at the same time) and I am getting ready to unload the dishwasher-start laundry-and pick up downstairs.
O Yeah I almost forgot--I went to tan last night. Eric got me a gift certificate for Valentine's Day to Aramesh Day Spa---they have the Mystic Tan spray tan. I used to tan alot in college but I realized how bad it was for my skin so Eric thought I might like to spray tan. So last night, I decided I would go and get my tan on! I was really nervous--the girl working said "the machine is loud and the mist tends to surprise people, but whatever you do, don't scrunch your face because it will cause lines that won't get tanned. And you may have trouble breathing--just hold your breath. And when you get out, wipe ALL OVER your body in a circular motion...like ALL OVER in CIRCLES" Me "okay--I can handle it"
WOW---what a shock! She was right-the machine was loud and the mist smelled gross..it was hard to breathe. So I would inhale when the mist was spraying down and hold my breath as it was coming up again. It stopped, I faced back ward. It sprayed again. I got out and it looked like liquid smoke pouring out, I could not see anything. I grabbed the towel and started circular motions. WOW---they provide a bath towel that feels like a brillo pad. The lighting was horrible and I wasn't exactly sure what to do--I kept thinking
circles, circles, circles. So I get home and tell Eric about my experience and he is shocked. I couldn't really tell much last night---but this morning--I look like a bad --self tan--gone wrong. I have stripes on the inside of my legs that are WHITE and dirty looking orange knees, feet and hands. So funny---
All and all --I like the way it looks. Now that I know what to..hopefully next time I will do a better job of rubbing in circular motions to get the spots that the mist misses. They say the tan will last for 7 to 10 days--so I'll go again next week with better results (HOPEFULLY).
