Last Week.....

I said to Eric " You know, I would pay $10.50 for a small Reece's Peanut Butter cup blizzard."
So we got in the truck and drove

15 miles each way

to get a blizzard.
But it was worth the drive! And I got a medium blizzard just to make it worth my time....LOL

Weekend recap

On Friday night, we took the girls to see Toy Story 3. They loved it. The new toy characters were so fun to watch. I love the story line about toys and their owners and that is why I cannot get rid of toys these days. Silly movie!

On Saturday we went to a bowling birthday party at Hurleburt Field. The kids bowled, ate lunch, cake and ice cream and were exhausted with fun. After a new battery for my truck, we headed to our friends house in Navarre to catch up. They are friends that we knew in Bossier City and we have kept in touch all these years. Every time we are together, we just pick right back up where we left off. It is great to have friends like that. And our kids play so well together. 2 boys and 2 girls that get along with no fighting===success!

Sunday we headed to Waterville USA. That is always a fun trip! Afterwards we cooked a delicious steak dinner and then off to bed from being in the sun all day.

Happy Fathers Day to the greatest Dad for my little girls, and to all the great Dads!

Recital 2010

Madison trying on her costume

Katelyn crying!

The girls danced in the Spring Recital this past weekend. They did an awesome job. Madison didn't miss a step and Katelyn, well, she wore her costume and didn't cry. This was a HUGE improvement because the weeks leading up to the recital, she wouldn't even put her costume on for more than 2 seconds.

But once we did hair and makeup, she was all excited.

The cookie cake- a recital tradition

Katelyn insisted that we needed candles on the cake. So we lit some matches, sang "Happy recital to you" and they blew out the candles. She was so happy!

This year I really missed Granny. In previous recitals, I always wondered whether or not she could see the stage or the girls dancing, but she wanted to be at the recitals and I was happy that she was there. I know that she was looking forward to being at the recital this year too and that she had the best seat in the house.
Love and miss you tons!
