Oh My Goodness

What are we going to do with this baby? (quoted by Katelyn at least twice a day)

The thought of having another sweet baby girl is starting to sink in, finally. I was really prepared to hear that we were having a boy but it's okay because we know girls! I dug out Madison's crib bedding and it looks just like I remembered. Can't wait to get the crib out and get things put together.

The girls have been playing on their new water slide. Katelyn loves it! All of a sudden she decided that she was a big girl and could handle the slide. It is fun to watch Maddy and Kate play together. They are really becoming good friends.

Kate's 3rd Birthday

We had a fantastic weekend for Katelyn's birthday. My parents and Eric's parents were able to make the LONG drive to visit. We cooked and ate and cooked and ate! That always happens with company in town. LOL. We even convinced the family to venture to the water park with us on Saturday and everyone seemed to have a good time. We floated the lazy river, rolled in the waves of the wave pool (well my mom rolled, we laughed), and rode all the fun tube rides. It was so fun to have everyone here to celebrate our sweet baby Kate.

Pop with his girls!

Yummy homemade cake.

Nana and Kate

Kate pushing the stroller with her new baby from Aunti Cici and Uncle Jared. She had to have her purse hanging on the stroller like a little mama.

Riding new bike from mom and dad.

Cool Maddy riding her bike too.

Madison got a new bathing suit coverup, sunglasses, Disney cup with cool straw, and purple flip flops for Katelyn's birthday.

Kate had to model her new clothes, swim suit under the dress, purse and Birthday hat (it is a tradition to wear on birthdays)

New headbands from Aunt Cici.

Pretzels

We made pretzels one day. The girls rolled out the dough and formed the pretzels. I was super impressed. Then we fried them and baked them. I do not really like pretzels (nor do the kids) but they had fun making them for Daddy to eat.

Let Freedom Ring

We ventured downtown to participate in the 4th of July Festivities in Seville Square. In 2005, we did the same thing while vacationing in Pensacola when Madison was 18 months old. LOL.
They had lots of bouncing things for the kids to play in, live music, and food. We captured a spot on the median to watch the fireworks and then headed for the fun.

Once we played and ate, we were waiting for it to get dark. Everyone was excited to see the fireworks. They are shot from a barge in the water! So cool!

Madison and Katelyn were dancing to the music!

And then we settled in to watch the show. None of my firework photo came out that good, so if you have a trick to capturing fireworks, please let me know.
