A Visit from Texas

Mimi and Peepaw made the long drive from San Antonio to Pensacola on Friday. What a great weekend! On Friday night we ate at Shrimp Basket (very good place to eat) and then Krispy Kreme for HOT NOT donuts. On Saturday we cruised by the Mustang Car show....the girls had so much fun.

After a yummy lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings---we hit the beach!

And what is a visit from Texas at Easter time without....

Beach in March

Katelyn was eating pretzels and kindly fed Madison so sand wouldn't get in the bag!

Madison found a hole and she kept calling it a "sand bathtub".

Ears

Katelyn's tube surgery went great. She did awesome too...such a big girl! She rode on the bed all by herself from the room to the operating room. She had her lip gloss in one hand and Madison's pinky (blanket) in the other. The nurse gave her some medicine to make her a little sleepy and she sat up in the bed and started to tell "knock-knock" jokes. They put a medical hair hat on her and she thought it was the funniest thing ever! They wisked her away to the OR and then 20 minutes later, they were all done.

The doctor said that she had a blister on her left ear drum (caused from a virus) but everything went smoothly. We went back to the room for juice and crackers and we were home by 10am. After sleeping off the meds, she was outside playing when Madison got home from school!

And the best news of all, is that all the "you're such a big girl" talk, she asked wear panties and has been in the all weekend long with no accidents! Just a diaper at night but that probably won't last long either----although I'm sure that because I'm writing this down, she will regress! Lets hope for the best...

Twinkle Toes

The girls are learning their recital dances and we got to preview them yesterday. All of the kids were a little nervous of all the parents in the room and they have only been working for 3 weeks on the dances. Hopefully everyone will be ready to go in June.
