Birds

Katelyn's school visited the Wildlife Santuary of Northwest Florida
it was fun

the flight school is for eagles that come injured
they rehabilitate them
and teach them to fly
inside the flight school
are poles and wires and trees
so they can learn how to land in things in nature
the kids were trying to see if their wing span
was a big a some of the birds at the sanctuary
 brown pelicans
see the one with his wing over his beak
i thought that was funny
the lady said that in the winter
there are hundreds of pelicans here
because this water is stocked with fish
year round
so any pelican that has even been here
always come back to eat
this was an actual eagles nest found in the wild
only 1/2 was recreated for the children's area
very cool to think that something actually called this place home
kate fits nicely

the place was very interesting
they had a blind goose
named hellen keller
it just walked around sticking out its neck really far
like a cane
to make sure that nothing was in front before it walked
hmmm

was told that most of the birds come injured from fishing hooks
or fishing line
that dangers the animals

was told that chemical dumped in waters
cause developemental delay in young birds
and deformations

was told that they are 100% funded by sponsors
and hospital is run by volunteers
i think i want to sponsor

hmmmmm

A new adventure

She has been begging to ride
she says that she can handle it
she says that she likes to ride
she says it is fun
she says i'll be fine

she is riding the bus----what happened to my little girl----6 years old and all grown up

Sassy

that says it all...she is sassy!

Chloe you are such a joy-
happy 4 month birthday
we love you

Lifes a Beach

We visited the beach yesterday
everyone had new beach hats to show off
something about the beach
just makes me feel better

Madison learned how to do a handstand
she practiced
all day on the sand
she ate a lot of sand too
but she did it

I was trying to get a photo of the them jumping in the air
1...2...3....jump
couldn't get the shot
but I got others that are really funny

Chloe was laying out
under the large umbrella
she usually just sits in her carseat
unless she gets hungry
then she gets to eat at the beach
and go back in her carseat
but today----she got to lay down

until Kate came along with sandy feet
on the clean blanket
then Chloe went back into the carseat

Video of Madison
teaching you how to do your very own handstand
enjoy! but only practice on the beach
it can be dangerous

What a week! UPDATED!

We have celebrated Spring Break with our friends from Texas. Kim, Lexi and Kendra drove to see us for the week.
Monday: We went to the beach and kids park
Tuesday: played at the museum, Dolphin Cruise, ate dinner at the Hangout, and rode a HUGE ferris wheel at sunset
Wednesday: played on the waterslide, visited Pensacola Beach, ate at Georgio's, and watched hot donuts roll at Krispy Kreme

The girls are back in school today....they were so sad to see their friends leave. We will definitely miss them tons! Everyone got along so well and played so nice.
