Spring Break 2011

Maddy and Kate had Spring Break last week
we decided to have a stay-cation since we are moving soon
We drove to Spanish Fort, AL
ate lunch at Olive Garden

took impromptu photos at Portrait Innovations
(which turned out wonederful)
played at Kangarooz (indoor bouncy place)

Chloe is learning so much

she can reach to her middle

with both hands to grab something

Yay for Coco Bear!

we even visited Bass Pro (Eric wanted to spend the night among the carrot sticks and fishing gear)

before we headed home

which took us forever

Eric's truck broke down as we got on the highway to come home

as soon as we crossed into Florida, we had to pull into the rest stop

and waited for the transmission to cool down

needless to say-Eric will get a new transmission for Spring Break

what an expensive stay-cation!

I was wonderful to spend time with Madison though-I feel as if she is growing up while she sits at school

everyday she comes home a little older and wiser

Maybe homeschool moms have something?????

Goodbye Spring Break-see you next year-in Vegas baby!

back on the boat

 we spent the weekend
back on the boat
and it felt great
to be in the warm sunshine

 all the kids got new life jackets this  year
safety first

we took Beau on Sunday
but my camera was not in the beach bag
he had fun playing in the sand though
and crashed hard when we got home

Weekend recap

Friday afternoon, we hit the beach with Eric while he fished. He caught something---but lost it! He is determined to catch a fish one day.
Saturday morning, the girls had soccer games. Katelyn scored 2 goals! Madison's team scored 4 goals. She has decided that she wants to play more defense to keep the other team from scoring...so she runs ahead of the pack to play goalie! What a smart girl.......She really wants to score---but she hates to lose! Go figure.
Saturday afternoon we headed to a friends house from Eric's work to have a cookout with the International class that is here training.
Saturday night, we took the girls to see RIO in 3D. It was a great movie.
Sunday-Madison had a birthday party for a school friend to attend. I took all the kids while Eric went fishing.
